A well planned schedule can go a long way to helping you lose weight, especially to anyone with a hectic lifestyle. If you think you are too busy for exercise then think again – there is always time, it just depends how you go about it.

This is a common reason for people not getting any exercise, and a relative of mine says the same thing, although wants to lose a few pounds. Since he spends a lot of the time at the airport flying to europe he beleived there was no way to exercise. After working out that he spends nearly 2 hours per flight waiting at the airport a quick solution for him would be to go for a walk around the terminal while he is waiting for his flight to board. This way he gets to burn calories instead of sitting around reading a magazine. See – theres always time for exercise.

A lot of people also have long commutes. However, by getting up 30 minutes earlier there is enough time to go for an early morning jog before heading off to work. By sitting down and working out a plan for the week you can easily slot in 30-60 minutes of exercise 5 days a week. Some exercises you can even do while watching TV, such as using a mini-trampoline or exercise bike.

If you have children and they take up all of your time, then once again this is no excuse since you can do some activities with them which they will also enjoy, such as tennies, swimming or even an evening bike ride together.

While you plan your exercise, it is also a good idea to work out your food for the upcoming week, so you know what you are eating each day and also what you need to get from the weekly food shop. This should help to prevent temptation of diving into another snack.

If you have any other good tips on how to fit exercise around a busy lifestyle why not leave a comment?
